FFJ Portfolio – October 2017 Dividend Income Report

(Last Updated On: November 1, 2017)

Another month has gone by? Time really flies when you’re retired!

In my September 2017 dividend income report I expressed confidence we would generate in excess of CDN$12,200 and in excess of USD$13,000 in dividends for all of 2017. Based on the dividends we can expect to receive in November and December I am confident we will slightly exceed those figures.

No significant purchases were made in October. The only increase in our holdings was the result of the automatic reinvestment of dividends received.

One withdrawal of significance was made in October. We withdrew 50 BNS shares and donated them to a charity we support. The charity will sell these shares and use a portion of the proceeds to help improve the lives of 3 children we sponsor who live in less desirable regions in this world. Another portion of the sale proceeds will be deployed as the charity sees fit.

In early December I will be sitting down to map out 2018 goals.

That’s it for now.
