This FFJ Portfolio – December 2025 report is a high-level recap of my activity during the month. All monthly reports are accessible here.
Recent Activity
One of the discount brokers I employ has introduced Partial Shares Dividend Reinvestment Plans. Going forward, partial shares will be acquired for the holdings in my investment accounts at this discount broker that are partial share-eligible.
This explains why holdings that include fractional shares now appear on my monthly FFJ Portfolio reports.
Purchases
Howard Hughes Holdings (HHH)
On December 22 I acquired 500 shares @ ~$78.98 in a ‘Core’ account in the FFJ Portfolio. In an upcoming post I will explain my rationale for increasing my exposure to 1500 shares.
Young investors on their journey to financial freedom also acquired shares in HHH. I do not divulge details of their transactions and holdings.
Arista Networks (ANET)
On December 2 I initiated a position in ANET with the purchase of 200 shares @ ~$127.455 in a ‘Core’ account in the FFJ Portfolio. I disclose this purchase in my December 3 post.
On December 5 I acquired an additional 200 shares @ ~$128.01 in a ‘Core’ account in the FFJ Portfolio. I disclose this purchase in my December 5 post.
On December 17 I acquired another 100 shares @ ~$122.08004 in a ‘Core’ account in the FFJ Portfolio bringing my exposure to 500 shares. I disclose this purchase in my December 19 post.
Thomson Reuters (TRI)
On December 15 I initiated a position in TRI with the purchase of 300 shares @ ~$131.75 in a ‘Core’ account in the FFJ Portfolio. I disclose this purchase in my December 15 post. The company reports in USD and declares quarterly dividends in USD. I, therefore, elected to acquire the US listed shares versus the Canadian listed shares.
Cintas (CTAS)
I have previously reported on my CTAS purchases (see The FFJ Archives) with the most recent post having been published on December 20.. During the month of December, I did not acquire additional shares. Young investors on their journey to financial freedom, however, acquired CTAS shares. I do not divulge details of their transactions and holdings.
Sales
None.
Dividend Income
Dividend metrics are of little relevance in my investment decision making process. My interest lies in an investment’s TOTAL potential investment return. In many cases, the preferred means by which a company can allocate its capital is to:
- reinvest in the business
- repurchase shares
- merge or acquire
Nevertheless, I track dividend income and make this information accessible here.
In December, I received dividend income from the following companies.
- Becton Dickinson (BDX)
- BlackRock (BLK)
