This FFJ Portfolio - August 2023 report is an overview of my recent investment activity.
Relative to August 2022, the value of the FFJ Portfolio has fallen by ~$15,606 CDN and increased by ~$1,153,509 USD. The increase is attributed to my concerted effort to increase my exposure to high-quality US companies.
Purchases In The FFJ Portfolio
In August, I made the following purchases in the FFJ Portfolio.
Paycom Software (PAYC)
I initiated a new position in PAYC with the purchase of 200 shares @ ~$301/share; this purchase was disclosed in my August 3 post. I subsequently purchased 50 shares @ ~$290/share on August 3 and 50 shares @ ~$280/share on August 18; I did not write posts disclosing the most two recent purchases. There are now 300 shares in a 'Core' account in the FFJ Portfolio.
Zoom Video Technologies (ZM)
In my August 23 post, I disclosed a new position in ZM with the purchase of 400 shares on August 22 @ ~$64.58/share. Shares are held in a 'Core' account within the FFJ Portfolio.
Copart (CPRT)
On August 9, I acquired another 200 shares @ ~$87.475/share; I did not write a post disclosing this purchase. CPRT subsequently initiated a 2-for-1 stock split and I now hold 2200 shares in a 'Core account within the FFJ Portfolio with an average cost of ~$33.44.
HEICO (HEI.a)
On August 29, I acquired another 100 shares @ ~$127.75/share and disclosed this purchase in my August 30 post. My exposure now consists of 400 shares in a 'Core' account and 400 shares in a 'Side' account within the FFJ Portfolio.
Dividend Income
I base my investment decisions on risk, valuation, and long-term total potential return. Dividend metrics are of lesser importance. Nevertheless, I do track dividend income.

During August, the holdings within the FFJ Portfolio generated:

- 'Side' accounts: ~$1,462 CDN and ~$845 USD
